Trivia for the Enduring 8

Salutations Good People,

Below are the five trivia questions for the Enduring 8 round of the 2013 May Mayhem Tournament of Champions.  These questions are all based on TV shows or movies that I enjoy but, as the Tournament continues, the trivia will become more difficult, naturally.

Here is how it will work:
  • The trivia questions are in a best-of-five format, so you need to score 3 correctly in order to win -- or, in the event of dual missed questions, the player with the most correct scores at the end of the 5 questions will advance.

  • You will get all five questions BUT, like the playoffs, it will go in a 2-2-1 format, in terms of who has priority (or "ownership") on the question; the higher seed holding the "home-field advantage," so to speak.

  • If the 'home' player misses their question, it becomes live for the 'road' player.  If the road player gets the missed question correct, they win that point.  However, if the 'road' player does not answer that question, and the 'home' team misses it, then the point goes to no one.

  • In the unlikely-but-technically-possible event of a tie, the tie-breaker question will be an open-ended question -- "What is my biggest pet peeve?" -- to which the stated pet peeve that is more annoying to me will win the tie-breaker. This will be the tie-breaker for all three successive rounds of the Tournament.

  • As there is no way for me to police whether or not the trivia is sought through online means, there is also no rules against it.  I do not support rules that cannot be enforced.

Example: In the match-up of 2) Roo Davis vs. 4) Calley, the 'home-field advantage' is held by Roo because she is the higher seed.  Therefore, Roo's questions are 1, 2 and 5.  Calley, therefore, owns questions 3 and 4.  However, if Roo were to miss questions 1 & 2, and Calley got them correct, then Calley would win those questions and have a 2-0 score.  Make sense?  Essentially, answer all of the questions: if your opponent gets their question correct, there's nothing you can do about that; but if they miss and you get it correct, you score the point.

That said, here are the trivia questions for the Enduring 8...

Please submit your responses by Monday evening (5/20), 7pm Pacific Time.  Ideally, and maybe one day, this can be done live so as to make for more entertaining and interactive competition, but, alas, the game must exist in this format for the time being.
