The MGD 64 / Round One - 2014 May Mayhem Tournament of Champions

 

 Below is the schedule for the opening round -- the MGD 64 -- of the 2014 May Mayhem Tournament of Champions, covering the week of May 5th - May 8th.  The last match-up (in bold) denotes that day's "Marquee Match-Up" - which is, in my opinion, the most compelling/interesting match-up of the day.  The rest of the day's match-ups will be ordered chronologically based on higher seed but may not be presented in that order.
 

MONDAY, MAY 5th

Starting off this year's Tournament with a strong offering of evenly-matched folks, and capping it with, arguably, one of the most interesting match-ups of the entire Tournament.  Incredible that this one is coming in the first day of the first round, really.

There are a couple of people to keep an eye on in this second day of the opening round, as there are a lot of potential upsets.  Capping this day with a match-up that may not be flashy but it certainly is quietly intense.

Closing out the opening round of the 2014 Tournament with a schedule STACKED with big names including: the defending Champion of Champions (Gorder); the 2x Champion of Champions (Nicole); quite a few Ryan Award winners (and a few legends); a match-up between two first-ballot Ryan Award Hall of Famers (Boone vs. Bobby); AND capping it with a very intriguing match-up.  It'll get intense.
